Tick the weekly sections in 30 minutes on Monday morning, and the monthly sections in a meeting in the first week of the month. In food, look at what's left after shipping and commissions, not at revenue; the goal isn't to write a report, it's to make three decisions a month.
Weekly: sales and products
- Last week's revenue, order count, and basket size were compared with the week before and with the same week last year.
- A channel breakdown was pulled: own site, marketplace, WhatsApp, wholesale, and corporate.
- Sales and contribution margin were calculated by product, after subtracting shipping, commission, and payment fees.
